Giulio Grablovitz

(Trieste Casamicciola 1846-1928). Founder and Director of the Geophysical Observatory, whose construction was decided in 1885. He designed the seismic tank, which still can be seen in the halls of the Observatory to record the seismic waves. He gave prestige to a new branch of science. Its seismic devices, presented at the Milan in 1906, were honored with gold medal.
